Implant Sciences Receives Orders for the QS-B220 Bench-Top Explosives and Narcotics Trace Detectors

WILMINGTON, MA – Implant Sciences Corporation, a high technology supplier of systems and sensors for homeland security markets, today announced it has received its first orders for the recently introduced Quantum Sniffer™ QS-B220 bench-top explosives and narcotics trace detector from China.

With over 800 units installed in numerous locations, the Company’s QS-H150 portable explosives trace detector has gained significant market traction in China for a wide range of deployments across the country. Because of its increased sensitivity for explosives and its new narcotics detection capability, the QS-B220 extends the reach of Implant Sciences’ product line, providing additional opportunity for new potential customers in security, customs, and corrections facilities.

“The QS-B220 has received a very positive response from customers in China. We, and our Chinese distributors, believe the new Quantum Sniffer bench-top has the strong potential to meet and exceed the kind of sales levels we’ve seen in China for the QS-H150 portable unit. We anticipate that these units are just the beginning for the QS-B220,” stated Glenn D. Bolduc, President and CEO of Implant Sciences.
