Digital Reciprocating Shakers

OHAUS has introduced digital reciprocating shakers which are ideal for a range of applications that require gentle to vigorous mixing, including chemical extractions, blood sample mixing, cell cultures and gel staining.

OHAUS reciprocating shakers are microprocessor-controlled to provide consistent, uniform shaking action, and the back-and-forth reciprocating motion has a 19 millimeter stroke length.

Single Eccentric Drive and RS232 Interface

OHAUS reciprocating shakers are equipped with Single Eccentric Drive with permanently lubricated ball bearings, and maintenance-free brushless DC motor provides reliable service and continuous-duty operation. RS232 interface provides two-way communication for data logging and unit control.

Safety Features

In order to ensure maximum operator safety, these shakers are equipped with a variety of safety features. Speed ramping increases the speed of the units slowly to the desired setpoint to avoid splashing, and the spill-resistant design channels fluids away from internal components. OHAUS reciprocating shakers are also equipped with an overload protection system which activates audible and visual signals when an obstruction or tray overload is detected.
