Rockland Immunochemicals Announces New GFP Western Blot Kit

Rockland Immunochemicals recently announced a new Green Fluorescent Protein (GFP) Western Blot Kit. GFP is routinely used as a reporter of expression. GFP is an ideal biosensor and numerous cell lines have been created that express GFP. Rockland’s GFP Western Blot Kit (catalogue number KCA215) was produced by optimizing Rockland’s Anti-GFP Antibody (catalogue number 600-301-215).

Rockland’s GFP western blot kit has been validated for use in Western Blotting. The Anti-GFP antibody is also functional in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescent microscopy. GFP Antibodies and Anti-GFP Conjugates are a simple choice for your GFP detection needs.

Green fluorescent protein is a 27 kDa protein produced from the jellyfish Aequorea victoria, which emits green light (emission peak at a wavelength of 509nm) when excited by blue light. GFP is an important tool in cell biology research. GFP is widely used enabling researchers to visualize and localize GFP-tagged proteins within living cells without the need for chemical staining.

Rockland produces other epitope tag antibodies including RFP Antibodies, 6X His Antibodies and Anti-GST Antibodies.
