INFICON’s first quarter Emergency Response & Security sales fell 35.5% to $5.5 million to make up 8% of company sales due to low shipments to Asia.

In June, IonSense and Cerno Bioscience announced the integration of their respective DART GSX system and MassWorks software. The companies will comarket the product.

Under an OEM agreement announced in June, JEOL will offer Zeox’s GC x GC technology with its AccuTOF GCV 4G high resolution TOF MS.

Product Introductions

INFICON introduced the Micro GC Fusion, calling it the first temperature-programmable Micro GC that offers fast temperature ramping using capillary columns. It offers a 1 ppm detection limit. Each module consists of an injector, capillary column and detector, and the system can be outfitted with multiple modules.

Thermo Fisher Scientific announced in April that its family of GC instruments can now be controlled by Agilent Technologies’ OpenLAB CDS EZChrom Edition and EZChrom Elite chromatography data systems.

Entech introduced the Omni-Sampler Plus Headspace Preparation System for GC and GC/MS. It supports all headspace techniques.

Alpha MOS introduced the HERACLES GC electronic nose bundled with the AroChemBase module for chemical and sensory characterization.
