In April, OpenGate Capital and Thermo Fisher Scientific mutually stipulated to the dismissal with prejudice of OpenGate’s suit against Thermo Fisher (see IBO 5/31/13).

In April, Esco Ventures established Esco Ventures Labs, a biomedical incubation space, in Singapore.

Product Introductions

Panasonic Biomedical introduced in March the MCO-170M multigas incubators, designed specifically for cultivation of cell lines and featuring a 16 L incubator interior.

BINDER launched the C 170 CO2 incubators, with an interior volume of 170 L and routine auto-sterilization.

Bioanalytical Systems launched the Epsilon Eclipse electrochemical analyzer, featuring a user friendly interface and applied potential range of ± 3.275– ± 10 V.

In April, INTEGRA introduced the EVOLVE manual pipette range, featuring three adjustable dials for setting each individual volume digit. They are available in 1, 8 and 12 channel formats, covering a volume range of 0.2–5,000 µL.

INTEGRA introduced a 50 µL pipetting head for its VIAFLO 96/384 electronic pipettes.

Asynt and Mettler-Toledo agreed to integrate their respective ReactoMate Controlled Laboratory Reactor and RX-10 automation systems.

In May Mettler-Toledo introduced the SOP Consulting Service for weighing.

Asynt released in May GasTrap gas purifiers for helium, hydrogen, nitrogen and pure air.

Eppendorf launched the electronic Multipette/Repeater E3 and E3x for serial dispensing. The E3x features seven different operation modes.

Hanson Research announced HRCare 360 Support in the US and Canada for all of its dissolution and diffusion testing systems, offering three turnkey packages.

Bibby Scientific introduced the Stuart SA6 Vortex Mixer with a mixing speed range of 2,500–4,500 rpm.

Bibby Scientific introduced the models 550 and 570 portable pH meters.

Velp Scientifica introduced the MST Digital magnetic stirrer for stirring speeds up to 1,500 rpm.
